Copyright lawsuits are something that almost every musician
has gone through. But for Taylor Swift, those are quite frequent, as it was
this week, when she avoided her second court reading after a judge dismissed
accusations that the singer stolen the lyrics for her 2014 hit song “Shake it
off”.
Jesse Braham has claimed that Taylor Swift had taken the
chorus from her song “Haters Gone Hate”, a song released in 2013. She asked 42
millions $ as compensations as well as a request to be credited as writer and
to take a selfie with the singer (odd request).
"At present, the court is not saying that Braham can
never, ever, ever get his case back in court. But, for now, we have got
problems, and the court is not sure Braham can solve them," she ruled.

Swift settled a copyright infringement case out of court
with the clothing brand Lucky 13. They accused her of selling T-shirts under
name that featured it’s trademark logo.
